The property was nicely presented and nicely appointed, I couldn't recommend more!
Actually everything was really good, my next choice again in Kyoto. Truly enjoyed the room with normal bathroom, my bed was comfortable. Central heating, a flat-screen TV and a fridge worked well. The service was good with a quiet atmosphere. The venue was in a central location right by departmental stores and Nikishi market as well as multiple subway lines.

Convenient, comfortable and friendly. Amazing Bach theme - as a music lover I just loved hearing the music being softly played.
'Bach' decor, friendly and helpful 'front of house' staff
told that "food had run out" at dinner time and cannot find the story being told "no food available" in the restaurant - at dinner time!

Here's why it's a mixed review
Cozy atmosphere with friendly staff making my stay pleasant,. A fantastic location near major attractions and shopping.
While the amenities were mostly excellent, some front desk interactions felt quite unwelcoming, which impacted my overall experience.

The musical theme throughout the hotel was good, and enjoying complimentary ochazuke at night was a treat after a long day of exploring Kyoto.

missingWrote a review on 14 Octcramped room
The entrance can be a bit tricky to locate for the first time since it's tucked away on a side street, which might confuse those laden with luggage. Rooms tend to feel cramped, especially if you have bigger bags. The lay-out can make maneuvering tight. The shower's multiple jets sound great, but in practice, it means bumping elbows in a narrow space, less than ideal for a comfortable wash.

Grand Bach Kyoto Select is a gem tucked away from the bustling streets. The location is fantastic, just off the main shopping thoroughfare. Easy access to the subway made getting around the city easy. The staff were friendly and helpful, always ready with a smile. I appreciated the welcome drink and the nightly snack, a thoughtful touch after a long day exploring the city. The cleanliness and décor of the hotel are great. The breakfast buffet exceeded my expectations-plenty of delicious options. The combo washer dryer in the room struggled to dry clothes effectively. I had to run multiple cycles without much success, a bit frustrating. The rooms, while comfortable, could use a bit more space, especially for those traveling with larger luggage. These minor issues didn't overshadow the overall experience, though. I enjoyed my stay here.

Great spot for exploring Kyoto!
Loved the central location! Easy walks to Nishiki Market and Gion. Nearby convenience stores. The beds were super comfy, and they even had a vending machine and laundry on-site. The bathroom was a bit tight, though, not as spacious as I hoped. Grabbed some bites at the cozy bar lounge too.
